Matthew 9:37-38,

Matthew 9:37–38 KJV 1900
Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.
~Why are we not seeing Manifestations? ~Love what God loves (souls) ~Put God 1st
N.T. Harvest rep. lost souls Laborers - those who preach The Gospel Lord of the Harvest - blesses & provides (spiritually & physically). …you gotta see it(field)…do the work of an Evangelist. Some of you are waiting for the harvest, but it’s already here…(Shout, “MANIFEST”) …the Harvest is ready NOW... Here in Matthew, Jesus showed compassion for the helpless sheep (faint & scattered). …Jesus compassion was a deep, bcuz of the conditions of the ppl.
Luke 10: 1
Luke 10:1 KJV 1900
After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come.
Vs. 1 - sent them 2 x 2 (teach support, 1 accord) 2 Cor.13:1,
2 Corinthians 13:1 KJV 1900
This is the third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.
Evangelism - prepare the village (they believed in God, but they hadn’t received Jesus who was to come)...This whole chapter points to Jesus! ***these ppl are destined for Hell…even the ppl in Hell are concerned about the lost! Luke 10:2,
Luke 10:2 NKJV
Then He said to them, “The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.
Not enough workers…like discipleship (they come, join, leave…never to return, if we don’t disciple them). …it takes great sacrifice of time, money... >Jesus is concerned about the souls…so many lost!
He tells us to: 1. Pray (recruit thru prayer) preparation Send out - cast, throw, send away ***some don’t agree to the field choice that Jesus is calling us to…We want something more pleasing to our eyes. ---We want to Harvest the wrong things--- Seize the moment, bcuz you may not get they opportunity again.
Luke 10:3 NKJV
Go your way; behold, I send you out as lambs among wolves.
Vs.3 2. Go (trained, discipled) Jesus Himself was sent amongst wolves…we are commissioned the same way. …He made us conscious of what we will face...
…everyone will not receive the Gospel. We we go, Jesus will be w/us…his presence will Manifest among us. Luke 10:4,
Luke 10:4 NKJV
Carry neither money bag, knapsack, nor sandals; and greet no one along the road.
Vs. 4 - Jesus didn’t want us to lose focus on our WHY…don’t worry about material possessions…We must trust Him to provide for us. ***no LV, Coach, MK, Gucci…leave anything that would draw attacks. Assignment was of complete urgency…No time for chit-chat, gossip or unwholesome conversations. …don’t stop to greet nobody…keep it moving! ***Messenger would run…other wouldn’t stop him…they would let him go on thru. Luke 10:5-6,
Luke 10:5–6 NKJV
But whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace to this house.’ And if a son of peace is there, your peace will rest on it; if not, it will return to you.
Luke 10:7–8 NKJV
And remain in the same house, eating and drinking such things as they give, for the laborer is worthy of his wages. Do not go from house to house. Whatever city you enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you.
…in other words, be content…don’t act bougie! don’t bounce from one house 2 the other, looking for something more pleasing or better…receive what has been put b4 you…some may be poorer than others.
Luke 10:9 NKJV
And heal the sick there, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’
>this is a call to preach the Gospel, preach repentance & get their hearts ready to receive Jesus when He comes. (compassion makes the heart ready for the message). …they will either accept or reject the message...
Luke 10:10–12 NKJV
But whatever city you enter, and they do not receive you, go out into its streets and say, ‘The very dust of your city which clings to us we wipe off against you. Nevertheless know this, that the kingdom of God has come near you.’ But I say to you that it will be more tolerable in that Day for Sodom than for that city.
Luke 10:16–20 NKJV
He who hears you hears Me, he who rejects you rejects Me, and he who rejects Me rejects Him who sent Me.” Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.” And He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.”
Vs.20 - don’t boast or get puffed up like you done something…it was God working thru you…He gets the glory for the Manifestation of the Harvest. …be excited about what He has done on your behalf. …it all comes down to the fact that your name, their name is written in the Lamb’s book of life…more important that you casting out demons.
